In a fast-paced and challenging environment, this role requires initiative, strong attention to detail, professionalism, resourcefulness, and the ability to multi-task. MEA Forensic is an equal opportunity employer. The position is onsite, in our Orange County, California office. The annual salary is $60,000 to $80,000 depending on skill and experience. We contribute $1000 per month towards healthcare plan premiums (medical, dental, vision) and offer a safe harbor 401(k) plan. Starting vacation is 3 weeks (accrued annually) and we observe 12 paid holidays per year. Role and Responsibilities Project administration Record initial instructions from clients; perform conflict searches; coordinate initial activities and prepare confidential documents; assist with report preparation, including reviewing, formatting and editing; complete billing process for each file; and deal with client queries related to invoicing. Project management Track progress and status of all active files; maintain awareness of Engineers' workloads, specializations, schedules, and deadlines; and attend weekly team meetings. Communication & Teamwork Communicate with Engineers, Project Coordinators, and clients regarding project activities and status; develop good working relationships with Engineers, Project Administrators/Coordinators, and other personnel at the firm. General administration Handle incoming inquiries, mail distribution, reception duties including couriers and visitors, logging of checks, and other duties as required. Specialized tasks Create reports; conduct library and archival research; purchase materials for testing; handle evidence and follow procedures for proper storage and documentation; coordinate evidence examinations, events and travel arrangements; process inspection photos/data; maintain MEA equipment; and be available for ad hoc requests. Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years experience working in an administrative role. Strong oral and written English. Intermediate proficiency with MS Office Suite and online research. Typing and data entry skills. Ability to lift 20-40 lbs. Current driver's license. Preferred Qualifications Post-secondary education. Strong oral and written Spanish.
