El Segundo, CA Our client, a leading aerospace and defense manufacturer , is seeking a Project Controls Engineer to support tooling and manufacturing operations for aircraft component programs. This role will work closely with engineering, scheduling, logistics, and program management teams to support project execution, cost tracking , schedule management, and operational planning . The ideal candidate will have strong project coordination skills, experience supporting engineering or manufacturing programs, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced aerospace environment. Perform Control Account Manager (CAM) duties, including cost, schedule, and performance tracking Maintain Earned Value Management (EVM) data and analyze program performance trends Develop, update, and manage the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) in coordination with scheduling teams Track budget actuals, forecasts, staffing requirements, and cost performance Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and business teams across multiple projects Prepare presentations, reports, and program status updates for leadership and stakeholders Identify risks related to cost, staffing, and scheduling, and support mitigation planning Facilitate cross-functional meetings and ensure action item closure Requirements Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) 1-5 years of engineering operations, manufacturing, or project coordination experience Experience with EVM , CAM, budgeting, forecasting, or scheduling activities Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Word Strong communication and presentation skills Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and business teams
