Summer Intern - Summer 2027 Morrow-Meadows Corporation's Summer Internship Program is a hands-on training program designed to provide college students with valuable real-world experience in the electrical and data communications construction industry. Our Summer 2027 interns will be paired with experienced mentors and have the opportunity to gain practical experience while supporting current projects in areas such as Estimating, Preconstruction, Project Management, or Safety. You'll apply what you're learning in the classroom, develop new skills, build your resume, and gain exposure to the people and processes behind major construction projects. Interns will also have opportunities to build professional relationships and network with company leaders, project teams, and key decision-makers throughout the organization. Summer 2027 internships are paid, full-time opportunities and typically run for 8 to 10 weeks during the summer. Part-time internship opportunities may also be available throughout the year. Location Livermore, CA Potential Internship Responsibilities Depending on your assigned department, project, and area of interest, responsibilities may include: Assist project teams with day-to-day project coordination and administration Support basic change order estimating and quantity takeoffs of electrical materials and equipment Assist with material takeoffs for items such as light fixtures, wiring devices, and other electrical components Assist with document control, including organizing plans, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and other construction documents Prepare basic material submittals and assist with tracking their review, approval, and distribution Maintain project tracking logs and update information as needed Assist with material tracking, purchasing coordination, and expediting Coordinate with project vendors and subcontractors as needed Assist with purchase order directives and subcontract work orders Support field labor reporting and timekeeping documentation Assist with tracking Field Work Orders and Time & Material change order documentation Assist with inspection requests, punch lists, and project closeout activities Support construction safety initiatives, documentation, and recordkeeping Participate in project meetings, site visits, and other learning opportunities as assigned Qualifications Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field, with an interest in pursuing a career in the construction or engineering industry Interest in learning about electrical construction, project management, estimating, preconstruction, or safety Honest and accountable, with the ability to use discretion when handling sensitive information Effective team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills Driven, dependable, and willing to learn Strong organizational and time-management skills Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities Strong customer service focus Comfortable working in both office and project environments Enjoys working in a collaborative, family company environment Morrow-Meadows Corporation provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
