Position Overview We are looking for a proactive Project Manager with over five years of construction management experience to oversee projects from planning through execution. The ideal candidate will be skilled in scheduling, budgeting, conflict resolution, and coordinating diverse stakeholders in fast-paced, complex environments typical of Bay Area development projects. Key Responsibilities Develop and update master project schedules in collaboration with stakeholders and clients. Conduct constructability reviews and provide insights on alternate construction methods, site logistics, and resource requirements. Participate in preconstruction meetings to set goals and milestones, while ensuring cost-effectiveness. Effectively staff projects and assign responsibilities to project teams. Ensure adherence to company standards, regulatory requirements, and local Bay Area construction codes. Monitor progress consistently and conduct status meetings with subcontractors and vendors. Promote and enforce stringent safety initiatives to maintain safe working environments. Lead client, consultant, and subcontractor meetings to ensure seamless communication and project alignment. Maintain project documentation, including schedules, scopes of work, and weekly site meeting reports. Investigate any damage, delays, or accidents to enforce procedural compliance. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of construction project management experience in the Bay Area or similar markets. In-depth knowledge of California and Bay Area construction laws, agreements, and industry best practices. Strong budgeting, cost tracking, and capital planning skills. Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, and other scheduling and project management tools. Experience managing project teams, including hiring and performance reviews. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to update a variety of stakeholders effectively. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a significant advantage. Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field is preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience managing construction projects, from preconstruction through completion, preferably in commercial, residential, or infrastructure sectors.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in construction management software such as MS Project, Procore, or similar tools. Strong knowledge of project scheduling, cost control, budgeting, and contract administration. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Leadership & Management Skills:
Proven experience in leading and managing multidisciplinary project teams. Ability to assign tasks, manage resources, and evaluate team performance. Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities.
Communication Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of reporting progress and issues to stakeholders at all levels. Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus for effective stakeholder communication in diverse teams.
Knowledge & Compliance:
Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards, especially applicable to the Bay Area if relevant. Understanding of construction laws, contract terms, and standard industry practices.
Personal Attributes:
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines. Driven, proactive, and committed to quality and safety standards. Certifications (optional but preferred): OSHA Safety Certification or equivalent.
