Job Description

Mission Steel Fabrication is looking for a new Project Coordinator/Administrator to join our project management team. We need a motivated individual who is well organized and loves to learn. We're a metal fabrication and machining company that produces anything from small precision components to massive structural members. A person in this position is responsible for working with our Project Managers (PM) in keeping track of their assigned projects, ensuring the production process is smooth and product is delivered to our valued customers on time and without issue. We're looking for a person who is attentive, organized, and has great multi-tasking and communication skills. Someone in this position will mainly be assisting the management of structural construction projects.
BEING ABLE TO READ AND CHECK DESIGN DRAWINGS AND DETAILED SHOP DRAWINGS IS A MAJOR PLUS.
Duties include but are not limited to: Assisting the PM with administrative duties Checking detailed shop drawings against design drawings for metal fabrication Organizing and updating reports, invoices, contracts, and project files Monitoring daily progress of project tasks (RFIs, submittals, compliance, etc.) and providing updates to project management Updating clients and subcontractors and keeping track of communication between the company, clients, and subcontractors Project billing Ensuring team members have supplies and resources for their assigned tasks Assisting the PM with budgeting and costing Planning meetings Updating schedules Qualifications Project Coordinator/Manager experience or equivalent preferred (2+ yrs) Experience with metal fabrication processes required Ability to read shop drawings/blueprints/design drawings is a must Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel especially) and general everyday office tasks Familiarity with construction software such as Procore and Tesla PowerFab/EPM preferred Strong organizational and scheduling skills Self-motivated with the ability to work well independently and as a team player in a group setting Ability to quickly learn new skills and adapt to sudden changes
Additional Details Full-time Typical Hours:
7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday through Friday Pay Rate is based on experience Office is located in Montclair, CA (San Bernardino County)
