POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations at a worksite to ensure the completion of projects in a safe and efficient manner. Duties include hiring Crew Leads and Craftsmen to perform specific tasks, monitoring budget expenses for labor, supplies, and tools, and reviewing laws and regulations to maintain a safe work environment. Project managers must skillfully facilitate communications including technical specifications between clients, crew leads, designers, sub-contractors, vendors, and city officials. Project managers play a critical role in administering new landscape construction installations and collaborating daily with onsite crew leads. They contribute to our overall mission by supporting a safe work environment, responsible stewardship of company assets, and excellence in every aspect of our business.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
Minimum of 5 years of experience in landscape and/or construction Ensure all materials are ordered and delivered on schedule Recruit, hire, train, manage, and mentor employees and contractors Provide adequate resources and staffing to meet project schedules, regulations, and safety needs Develop and manage project budgets and quality standards for all sites Request and submit all necessary forms and permits Regularly report project status to supervisors, site engineers, and officials Lead and direct multiple crews on multiple projects simultaneously Ensure all safety procedures are followed and report unsafe conditions immediately Ensure all workers' compensation claims and accidents are properly documented and reported Identify and convert extras into change orders when appropriate Interface with subcontractors to ensure timely and accurate completion of their project phases Interface with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of job materials Fill out and process all necessary job paperwork Interact with clients, subcontractors, architects, and other stakeholders in a professional and competent manner Maintain high team morale and a positive work environment Analyze job cost reports accurately Thoroughly understand and comply with company policies, procedures, and SOPs
KEY COMPETENCIES
Exceptional time management skills; ability to estimate work effort and timelines for construction jobs Excellent technical skills and understanding of landscape construction methods, contracts, and blueprints Proven leadership and ability to delegate work and meet deadlines Ability to read, understand, and communicate landscape plan drawings and specification documents Self-motivated with strong leadership skills Professional in appearance and actions at all times Detail-oriented and quality-driven Fluent in English and Spanish — required Strong aesthetic sensibilities and attention to detail in the landscape environment Effective problem-solving: identifies issues, gathers information, and resolves efficiently Strong planning and organizational skills; sets goals, prioritizes tasks, and uses time efficiently
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
5+ years of experience leading a landscape or construction crew Full knowledge of job layout, irrigation system installation, plan reading, employee management, and client communication at project completion Ability to take a project from start to finish following the plans Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record — required Ability to operate a 1-ton pickup truck — required Experience towing and operating a 7x16 dump trailer — required Must be comfortable driving in all Bay Area conditions, including urban and residential routes
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to commute to multiple locations daily (within the Bay Area service area) Must be able to endure repetitive bending and twisting motions Must be able to lift more than 80 pounds Outdoor work in all types of weather conditions, including exposure to noise, moving equipment, electrical energy, and construction tools and machinery
