Job Description

About the Opportunity An established custom-home builder on the San Francisco Peninsula is hiring an Estate Care Service Technician to look after a select portfolio of legacy estates it built and continues to care for. This is a builder that treats the years after the final walkthrough as seriously as the build itself, carrying the same standard of craft and client care into these homes for the long term. The work is grounded in relationships. A small number of homeowners trust this team to keep exceptional homes right, and this is the person who shows up at their doors. Role Summary This is a hands-on field craftsman who also scopes, prices, and presents work directly to homeowners. It is a career in estate care itself, not a stepping-stone into project management. You keep home systems, finishes, and exteriors ahead of problems, handle the calls when something needs attention, and manage the small projects that keep a home at its best.
You are supported:
a coordinator handles scheduling and client communication, and a manager backs you on pricing and larger scopes, so your focus stays on quality work and the client relationship. Key Outcomes Homes stay ahead of problems. Systems, finishes, and exteriors are maintained proactively, so issues are caught and handled before a homeowner ever notices them. Homeowners get a clear picture of their home. Quarterly walkthroughs produce written reports and recommendations the owner and the team can act on with confidence. Service requests are resolved cleanly. You diagnose, repair, and when needed coordinate specialist trades, so the homeowner's problem is genuinely solved. Small projects land at full quality. Fixture installs, finish repairs, and bathroom refreshes are completed to the builder's standard, on scope and on budget. Work is scoped and priced with trust. You walk a project with the homeowner, scope it, estimate it, and present it clearly, so decisions are easy to make. Subcontractors deliver to standard. Specialist trades are coordinated and held to the same quality the builder is known for. Relationships deepen over time. Homeowners come to see you as the professional who knows their home, and the builder's most valuable client relationships get stronger year over year. What You'll Bring 5 to 10 years in construction, preferably high-end custom residential Broad, multi-trade hands-on experience, with the judgment to know when to bring in a specialist Strong troubleshooting across home systems and finishes The ability to read architectural and civil drawings Comfort preparing estimates and presenting them to homeowners Excellent written and verbal communication, and clean service documentation Strong organization across multiple homes, calls, and projects at once A professional, trustworthy presence in a client's home Valid driver's license and a clean record
Compensation & Benefits Compensation:
$50 to $90 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a long-term career position in estate care, with the stability of an established builder and a portfolio of relationships to grow into.
Pay:
$50.00 - $90.00 per hour
Work Location:
In person
