$ Open k per year About the Opportunity Our client is a leading steel contractor serving owners and builders throughout the Bay Area , providing high-quality construction services and solutions. We are looking for a motivated and experienced Project Engineer / Project Manager to join their growing and dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take ownership of projects and grow their career within the steel construction industry. Key Responsibilities Oversee assigned construction projects from start to completion Ensure construction work complies with contract requirements, plans, specifications, and project schedules Review construction plans, specifications, architectural drawings, structural drawings, and shop drawings Issue purchase requests for raw materials required for fabrication Prepare and process RFIs and change orders Coordinate and schedule shop drawing processing, steel fabrication, and field installation Communicate and coordinate with clients, inspectors, subcontractors, and internal teams Attend construction and project site meetings Monitor project progress and help resolve issues to keep projects on schedule Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture , or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered Strong understanding of architectural and structural drawings Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat Strong written and verbal English communication skills Ability to clearly communicate technical, mathematical, geometric, and spatial concepts Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Positive attitude with a strong commitment to individual performance and teamwork Bilingual English/Chinese is a plus, but not required International candidates are welcome to apply
