This is a unique and exciting opportunity for a Architectural Project Manager in Santa Ana, CA My client is a mid-size national firm who has seen their clients and projects and staff grow successfully. The right candidate for this position will demonstrate a strong knowledge of architecture and project management and will be crucial in the future and ongoing success of this company being in a position where they will be able to be part of all aspects of multiple projects working under strong mentorship from Senior Leadership and managing staff. Responsibilities:
  • Manage & meet client expectations representing the firm on calls, meetings, and on-site.
  • Manage projects through the full process from pre-design/schematic design through all phases of design, permitting, bidding, & construction Administration
  • Manage and meet project timelines.
Must be able to develop project timelines based on available information, understanding of staffing allocations, & client needs. Must be able to manage multiple projects and deadlines delivering consistent and correct project documentation on-time. Applicants should be comfortable making decisions on project design needs and should be proficient in coordinating projects with all disciplines, jurisdictional requirements, & stakeholder requirements.
  • Take lead responsibility for creative concepts/solutions for complex architectural projects.
  • Meet directly with the owner/client, analyze project goals, conceive and develop architectural concepts/solutions for those goals
  • Initiate and create designs and other documentation with responsibility for preparation of presentation drawings, models and narratives.
  • Manage and review projects drawn by themselves or others ensuring quality, correctness, and completeness of project documentation.
  • Provide leadership, direction & guidance for all disciplines related to coordination of the overall building design.
  • Work with various disciplines throughout all phases to ensure all concepts/solutions accommodate project needs and the owner's programmatic requirements.
  • Direct the activities of designers and mentor other staff members as needed.
  • Help build and maintain the design culture of the studio. Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Architecture or Masters of Architecture degree
  • A minimum of 5 years of design experience.
  • Experience in the areas of commercial program rollout preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD (Mandatory), Revit (preferred but optional), Bluebeam
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project Schedule).
  • Disciplined and organized in recording & tracking project status, dates, & deliverables across numerous projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated graphic presentation skills.
  • Strong knowledge of codes and good planning skills.
Pay:
$105,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
