Job Description

The Resource Conservation District of Santa Cruz County (RCD) seeks a Water Resources Project Manager to join a dynamic team of conservation and agriculture professionals. The Project Manager will work closely with staff and partners to lead projects and collaborations to support groundwater sustainability, particularly through Managed Aquifer Recharge (MAR). This position will have a unique opportunity to lead the Recharge Net Metering Program (ReNeM), a first-of-its-kind incentive program for accelerating installation of managed aquifer recharge projects on farms. They will manage this collaboration between the RCD, the Pajaro Valley Water Management Agency, UC Santa Cruz Hydrogeology (UCSC), resource agencies, researchers, landowners and growers to bring ReNeM to scale in the Pajaro Valley and foster partnerships and pilots to adapt this model program in other groundwater basins.
