  • Full-time Job Overview The Environmental Project Manager (EPM) plans, coordinates, and manages environmental projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with federal regulations and grant requirements.
They oversee project activities, request staffing, and interact with community members and cooperating agencies. The EPM will also assist the Environmental Director in Indoor/outdoor air quality projects, solid waste projects, climate adaptation projects, GIS, education and outreach, traditional ecological knowledge and other programs under the direction of the Environmental Department. Duties Assist in the development/management of project plans, timelines, budgets, and resources.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and regulatory agencies to ensure project success.
  • Ensure projects adhere to environmental regulations and best practices.
  • Identify and mitigate potential environmental risks and issues.
  • Provide regular project updates for the Environmental Director and other Senior Leadership
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and deliverables.
  • Research and develop grant proposals for future funding opportunities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to minimize environmental impact and promote sustainability.
  • Participate in ordering equipment and supplies for the department.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
