Project Overview We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful execution of a new safety training complex in South Lake Tahoe. This ground-up project includes owner-furnished, contractor-installed prefabricated equipment storage facilities and significant site improvements, including: Tarmac area construction Water storage tank and pump station Collection system installation Parking area development New bike path connecting the site to the existing campus infrastructure Position Summary The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, financial management, and successful delivery of the project. This individual will work closely with field operations, subcontractors, owners, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure the project is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities Manage all phases of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts Coordinate with Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and design teams Review and manage contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders Track project costs and maintain budget control throughout the project lifecycle Lead project meetings and maintain communication with owners, consultants, and stakeholders Identify and mitigate project risks and resolve issues proactively Review project drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and other project documentation Ensure compliance with project requirements, safety standards, and company procedures Oversee project closeout activities, including punch lists and final documentation Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction Proven experience managing ground-up construction projects Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, contracts, and cost control Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and organizational skills Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite Preferred Experience Public Works projects DSA projects Sitework and civil construction Ground-up commercial construction
