Multifamily Project Manager RimePro Inc Tracy, CA Job Details Full-time $130,000 - $170,000 a year 22 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Residential construction project management Managing multi-phase construction projects Full Job Description Position Overview The Project Manager is responsible for leading the successful execution of multifamily construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role oversees budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, procurement, client communication, and overall project performance to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. Projects may include ground-up multifamily, affordable housing, mixed-use, podium, wrap, urban infill, and residential developments, requiring strong operational leadership and coordination across field and office teams. The ideal candidate has experience managing multifamily projects from start to finish and thrives in collaborative, fast-paced construction environments. Key Responsibilities Manage multifamily construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout. Oversee project budgets, forecasting, cost controls, and financial reporting. Develop and maintain project schedules and ensure milestone achievement. Lead subcontractor buyouts, contract administration, and scope coordination. Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, and project logs. Coordinate closely with Superintendents and field teams to maintain productivity and schedule performance. Monitor procurement activities and ensure timely delivery of materials and long-lead items. Lead project meetings with ownership, consultants, architects, and internal stakeholders. Support constructability reviews, value engineering efforts, and preconstruction planning. Identify project risks and implement corrective actions to maintain project objectives. Track project progress and maintain communication regarding budget, schedule, and operational updates. Ensure projects comply with contract requirements, quality standards, and safety expectations. Manage project turnover and closeout including punch lists, final documentation, and owner handoff. Qualifications 5-10+ years of experience as a Project Manager with a general contractor. Strong experience managing ground-up multifamily construction projects required. Experience with podium, wrap, mixed-use, affordable housing, or urban infill developments preferred. Proven ability to manage projects from preconstruction through closeout. Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor management, and construction operations. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts. Experience managing project financials and forecasting. Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced construction environments. Preferred Qualifications Experience with large-scale residential communities and multifamily developments. Familiarity with preconstruction, estimating support, and value engineering processes. Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, or similar project management software. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
