SPM will present project concepts internally and externally as needed, help coordinate technical reviews internally on a quarterly basis, and lead the team to coordinate conceptual design through construction documents, permitting, and construction administration. The Senior Project Manager for Architecture reports directly to the Director of Architecture and periodically reports on project financials and schedule as required. Project pipeline is a direct reflection of Business Development sales effort and as such this position may support the Director's sales efforts.
Salary Range:
$135,000
  • $200,000 annually depending on experience Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals to perform the essential functions.
Exercise a high level of confidentiality when dealing with staff, projects and proprietary information. Assist Director of Architecture with design department operational duties as needed. Lead and monitor activity of select project teams. Consistently review Contract Documents for alignment with contracted scope. Manage external design consultants' output; including but not limited to proposals, contract initiation, invoicing, budgets, and performance. Coordinate and communicate between Clark Pacific Architecture and other internal departments. Coordinate with Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) for Permitting compliance as required by project. Day-to-Day communication with General Contractor. Manage and maintain architectural project budgets. Report to Director of Architecture regarding project and budget status, in addition to identified issues and potential solutions. Present project information internally through presentations in meetings and conference calls to update all on status, solutions, and overview. Key Interfaces Internal Engineering Desing Build/General Contracting Field External General Contractor AHJ Client Representative Key Metrics and Deliverables Profitable projects Schedules met or exceeded Client Satisfaction Departmental technical advancement Skills and Abilities Proven experience managing project financial budgets. Proven experience managing design consultants. Working knowledge of AIA contract documents or similar. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as effective listening and engagement with all levels of the organization. Ability to build strong relationships and engage and motivate teams representing diverse backgrounds and viewpoints; exceptionally collaborative. Ability to maintain attentiveness to detail and accuracy throughout involvement in multiple projects without losing sight of goals and deadlines. Excellent organization skills to drive topics with multiple stakeholders/interests. Problem solving skills that aim to remedy and prevent reoccurrence Comfortable escalating issues while maintaining positive relationships with team members and other organizations. Passionate about Clark Pacific's vision and mission; able to promote, demonstrate, and communicate the mission, values and core competencies of Clark Pacific to others. Ability to read construction documents and specifications. Able to exercise appropriate discretion when handling confidential and/or sensitive information. Display willingness and interest in stepping up into greater leadership role if the situation requires or the opportunity presents itself. Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite programs. Proficiency with Revit Software (Level 6-7 out of 10) Work Environment General office environment will be experienced. There will be periodic exposure to manufacturing environments which may present hazards such as noise, electricity, chemicals, heavy equipment, and other automated and manual machinery. Exposure to field construction environments which includes walking in rough terrain and working at significant elevations. There will be periodic exposure to outside weather conditions, including extreme cold and extreme heat, wet and/or humid environments.

Business travel, (15%). Bending squatting, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
Experience and Education Required Education:
Bachelor of Arts /Emphasis on Architecture (4yr degree)
Preferred Education:
Bachelor of Architecture (5yr degree
  • professional)
Licensure:
Preferred or the ability to obtain through NCARB reciprocation in the short term.
Experience:
15+ years Experience leading Commercial Projects required.
