Role:
The Field Services Coordinator (FSC) III will assist the Project Manager and Superintendent with the day-to-day operations of assigned construction projects. The FSC will be in the field and job locations will vary based on ongoing projects. The ability to travel and relocate to projects is essential to the success of this position. Essential Functions Manage completion of construction projects by organizing and controlling project elements Ensure that completion of projects meet all safety, quality and legal requirements and negotiate solutions for problems Develop project schedule by studying project scope and specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing project work activities Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating all work activities, and resolving problems Control project plan by reviewing design, scope, specifications, scheduling changes, and recommending corrective actions Prepare project Quality Control/Quality Assurance Plan, report deficiencies or issues in the field, and prepare documents for final turnover to the customer Manage day-to-day activities of assigned projects Act as the main point-of-contact for internal and customer communication on-site Determine project responsibilities by identifying project scope and sequence, collaborate with Construction management on assigning personnel to various work tasks, and reviewing scope of work and bids from subcontractors Coordinate on-site meetings, schedule/work sequence updates, submit deliverables, and address outstanding open items as requested by clients Prepare and submit look-ahead documents and weekly, monthly progress reports and billing information Review, track and monitor units complete and job costs versus budgeted units Control project costs by executing Purchase Orders, approving expenditures and administering subcontractor contracts Maintain project database; enter and back up data Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions Report regularly to management team Maintain safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations Schedule and attend field walk-downs with customers, subcontractors, and construction personnel to understand and determine constructability requirements Compare various project documents for accuracy and consistency Prepare and submit change orders Other duties as assigned Regular and predictable attendance Essential functions of this position are to be performed in a Company-designated office or field location Understand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards, if applicable
About You:
Qualifications 3 to 5 years of related experience preferred Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or other related discipline; combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Proven leadership skills Design and documentation skills Advanced understanding of project management Cost and risk management skills Advanced problem-solving skills Proficient with MS Office Suite of tools Familiarity with scheduling software, preferably Primavera (P6) Ability to manage time effectively and delegate Ability to work in a team environment and under different management styles Strong written and verbal communication skills Proven ability to make important decisions under pressure
What We Offer:
Compensation & Benefits Salary $65,911-$111,381/ year Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
