A kick-ass Project Manager. Where are we located? Lakewood, CO, just outside of Denver What kind of job is this? Fulltime, salaried Who would you report to? You will report to our Operations Manager. Apply to join our team today! What would your job look like? As a Project Manager at Harrison Home Systems, you'll be working directly with clients and departments internally to manage the installation of the latest in A/V and other automation technology in their homes. You'll be working with [name] and our technicians on a day-to-day basis. After shadowing [name] to learn the ropes, here's how a typical week might look: On Monday, you may be ensuring that the right team is set up and ready to handle an new installation for a client; On Tuesday, you may be checking on job progress and following up with builders on punch lists; On Wednesdays, we all fly to Vegas together and hit the casinos. (just kidding; we just wanted to make sure you're still paying attention) You may end your week on Friday walking a client through their home to ensure that they are satisfied with the end result. At a more granular level, your day-to-day will include the following: Reviewing assigned projects with Sales & Design during project handoff meetings to understand project scope and budget, client expectations, project stakeholders, timing and staffing requirements Communicating with engineering, installation and programming personnel to develop a clear expectation and scope of work for projects. Monitoring labor hours on projects, track time, review and approve time sheets, and discuss potential overages with Operations Manager in a timely manner. Organizing and directing the work of technicians and subcontractors while managing any health and safety concerns. Ensuring accuracy of system proposal and documentation through the life cycle of the project. Working with the design team to create revisions and change orders and deliver updated documentation to stakeholders as necessary. Conducting pre-installation site-surveys and strategizing equipment placement and cable-pull considerations. Ensuring the project is in the correct billing stage and maintaining notifications to AR through the life of the project. Determining timing and scheduling of project QC. Scheduling, managing, and coordinating the available labor, materials, tools, equipment, and technical expertise for projects Communicating with the client regarding scheduling and progress updates, decisions needed by client, and any changes the client needs to be aware of. Coordinating and approving equipment needs with the appropriate department Communicating staffing requirements to the appropriate colleagues Managing the day-to-day operations of all assigned projects Performing regular site visits for projects Establishing relationships and maintaining regular communication with clients, designers, and builders Providing regular progress reports to necessary parties/departments You'll be managing multiple projects simultaneously, so the ability to maintain impeccable attention to detail while juggling multiple large projects is key. Most of our projects come from new clients, with a smaller portion coming from existing clients, so you will be integral in setting the stage to build long-term relationships, as well as fostering existing ones. You will be the driving force behind your assigned projects (expect regular site visits), so problem-solving and putting out fires should be a part of your DNA. While keeping the project momentum going is certainly a requirement of this role, our end goal is a satisfied client, so the client experience is a non-negotiable priority. You will always be expected to treat our clients and your colleagues with patience and friendliness no matter how big or small their issue. Client service is something we hold sacred at our company so it is of the utmost importance that you be willing and able to serve as a helping hand for our clients in their moment of need. What should you bring to the table? 5-8 years of project management experience. Bonus points if your experience is in one of the following fields: Home automation, Audio/Video or Integration systems Construction, Design, or Architectural industry Luxury products of services Control systems certifications (Lutron, Control4, Savant, etc.) Experience in residential technology integration and installation is preferred Exceptional communication skills, both internally with our team and externally with clients, builders, and designers A degree is a nice bonus, but not required if you can show that you more than make up for it with street smarts and real-world experience; Demonstrated proficiency with PC, Windows, Outlook, Sales software, and typing skills; A willingness to take on as your own, the company's core values, purpose, cause and passion; A positive attitude, ability to excel under pressure, and a willingness to hold yourself accountable; A natural passion for developing professional relationships within the design/build community and with potential/existing clients; and, Strong organizational skills What do we bring to the table?
Base salary:
