Company Description Moltz Constructors, Inc. is a heavy civil contractor specializing in water storage, diversion, and treatment. Our projects include dam and reservoir renovation, powerhouse upgrades, outlet works, and oil and gas refinery construction. We also handle spillway demolition, large valve installation, and water and wastewater treatment facilities. Located in Larkspur, CO, we focus on delivering high-quality solutions for complex infrastructure projects. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Project Engineer at Moltz Constructors, Inc. located in Larkspur, CO. The Project Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day project management, overseeing engineering tasks, and planning project timelines. Additional responsibilities include coordinating with team members, managing project budgets, and ensuring compliance with safety and engineering standards.
Industry Experience:
Civil, water/wastewater, industrial, or equivalent heavy construction.
Education:
Degree in Engineering or Construction Management/Technology, or equivalent work experience.
Core Responsibilities Experience:
Superintendent support (planning, scheduling, coordination). Subcontractor & vendor coordination (submittals, materials, compliance). Documentation & reporting (RFIs, daily reports, meeting minutes, pay apps, change orders). Owner & Engineer communication (professional interaction, timely responses, accurate documentation).
EQ Skills:
Strong judgment, emotional control, communication, reliability, and collaboration. Familiarity with project controls (budgeting, cost coding, invoice/ticket review). Experience with material & equipment tracking systems. Prior exposure to safety tracking and compliance programs. Demonstrated ability to lead or mentor junior staff (train your replacement mentality).
