Job Description

Our client, a well-established and growing construction firm, is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support the successful delivery of commercial construction projects. This role is ideal for someone early in their project management career who wants hands-on exposure, mentorship, and a clear path to becoming a Project Manager. Key Responsibilities Project Coordination & Execution Assist Project Managers in planning, scheduling, and executing construction projects Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project timelines are met Support day-to-day project operations from pre-construction through closeout Documentation & Reporting Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation Maintain accurate project records and ensure compliance with contract documents Track project progress and prepare status reports Budget & Cost Control Assist with project budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking Review invoices and support billing processes Help identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality Communication & Collaboration Act as a liaison between project stakeholders including clients, architects, engineers, and field teams Participate in project meetings and provide updates on milestones and risks Ensure clear and timely communication across all parties Site Support Conduct site visits to monitor progress, safety, and quality standards Work closely with Superintendents to ensure field execution aligns with project plans Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred) 1–3 years of experience in construction project coordination or management Strong understanding of construction processes, documents, and terminology Proficiency in project management tools (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar) Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
