Our team is committed to delivering outstanding customer experiences from initial consultation through system activation. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Residential Solar Project Manager to oversee the successful execution of residential solar projects from contract signing through final utility approval and PTO (Permission to Operate). The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, and experienced in managing multiple solar installations simultaneously while coordinating with homeowners, utilities, AHJs, installers, and internal teams. Key Responsibilities Manage residential solar projects throughout the entire project lifecycle. Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners after contract execution. Coordinate permitting, engineering, utility interconnection, inspections, and installation schedules. Track project milestones and proactively address delays or issues. Communicate project status and updates to customers and internal stakeholders. Work closely with sales, design, permitting, installation, and operations teams to ensure smooth project execution. Manage relationships with subcontractors and installation partners. Ensure all project documentation is accurate, complete, and up to date. Monitor project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Facilitate municipal inspections and utility PTO processes. Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Required Qualifications 3+ years of residential solar project management experience. Strong understanding of residential solar installation processes, permitting, inspections, and utility interconnection. Experience managing multiple active solar projects simultaneously. Excellent organizational, communication, and customer-service skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and solve problems in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with CRM and project management software. Experience working with permitting jurisdictions, utilities, and solar installation teams. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Preferred Qualifications NABCEP certification or related solar industry certifications. Experience with battery storage and whole-home backup solutions. Familiarity with Aurora, Solo, OpenSolar, Salesforce, HubSpot, Monday.com, or similar platforms. Experience in a rapidly growing solar organization. What Success Looks Like Projects completed on schedule and within budget. High customer satisfaction throughout the installation process. Reduced cycle times from contract signing to PTO. Accurate project tracking and proactive issue resolution. Strong collaboration across sales, operations, and installation teams.
