Glastonbury, Connecticut Job Description We are looking for an experienced Highway Project Manager to join a growing transportation engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to lead meaningful infrastructure projects that improve transportation networks, enhance community connectivity, and support regional development. The successful candidate will oversee project execution, guide technical staff, manage client relationships, and contribute to the continued growth of transportation services throughout Connecticut and the surrounding region.
Responsibilities:
Manage and deliver highway, roadway, and transportation-related projects of varying size and complexity Lead project teams and coordinate engineering and design resources to maintain project schedules and deliverables Develop and oversee project budgets, scopes of work, schedules, and financial performance Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, agencies, and project stakeholders Collaborate with senior leadership to support project planning, execution, and overall team performance Assist with business development initiatives, including proposal preparation, client meetings, and interview presentations Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers, designers, and project staff Ensure project deliverables meet applicable quality standards, regulations, and client expectations
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Professional Engineer (PE) license in Connecticut 8-12 years of relevant transportation engineering experience, including project management or task leadership responsibilities Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules, scopes, and client expectations Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with multidisciplinary teams Experience preparing proposals, technical reports, and client presentations Familiarity working with state transportation agencies and municipal clients Knowledge of alternative project delivery methods is beneficial Experience with Bentley software, including MicroStation and/or OpenRoads Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred but not required
Pay Range:
$110,000 - $150,000 per year (Commensurate with experience) Now in our 4th decade, Resource Options, Inc.
