The role focuses on coordinating Revit/BIM workflows, reviewing field conditions, and ensuring design documents are constructible and aligned with project schedules and quality requirements. The Project Design Coordinator will liaise between design teams, contractors, and site personnel to resolve issues, manage model coordination and clash detection, and support submittal and RFI processes to keep projects on time and within budget.

Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate Revit and BIM models across disciplines to maintain a federated project model and support constructability reviews.

Perform clash detection and model coordination using Navisworks or similar tools; document and track coordination issues to resolution.

Conduct site coordination and periodic field reviews to verify conditions, document findings, and communicate required design adjustments to design and construction teams.

Collaborate with architects, structural and MEP engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth information flow and timely decision-making.

Support submittal review, RFI logging and response tracking, and change order coordination in conjunction with project managers and construction teams.

Assist with quantity takeoffs, material takeoffs, and preliminary cost estimating to support procurement and budgeting activities.

Maintain QA/QC procedures for models and documents, ensuring code compliance (IBC/ADA/local) and alignment with project specifications.

Use project collaboration and document management platforms (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, BIM 360, Bluebeam) to manage drawings, markups, and project communications.

Prepare and update project schedules, coordination meeting minutes, and progress reports; work with PMs to identify and mitigate schedule risks.

QualificationsBachelors degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Proven hands-on experience with Revit and BIM coordination on medium to large construction projects.

Demonstrated experience with site coordination and field reviews; comfortable working on active construction sites and communicating with contractors and site teams.

Strong understanding of construction processes and contract documents; experience with construction documents, shop drawings, and detailing.

Experience with Navisworks and clash detection workflows preferred.

Familiarity with MEP coordination and interpreting structural and architectural drawings.

Experience with Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat, Procore, PlanGrid, or similar document management and mark-up tools preferred.

Experience producing quantity takeoffs, supporting cost estimating, and using Excel for scheduling and quantities; familiarity with Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 is a plus.

Knowledge of code compliance (IBC/ADA/local), QA/QC procedures, LEED/sustainability coordination, specification review, and submittal/RFI/change order processes is preferred.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, strong problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under schedule pressure, and travel to project sites as required.
