JOB SUMMARY
An Assistant Project Manager will report directly to a Project Manager to support the management of multiple projects from Prefabricated Precast Concrete Buildings to Prefabricated Pump Stations. Candidates will have good analytical, communication, and computer skills, and will operate with the highest ethical standards. Furthermore, the candidate will be an integral part of the Project Management Team.

QUALIFICATIONS
One (1) to Three (3) years of experience in project management of commercial construction projects and/or large civil construction projects Will consider less experience for the right candidate. Strong drive, intellectual curiosity, and willingness to learn. Highly organized, with the ability to plan and multitask to meet critical deadlines with team support. Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities with groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency. Attention to detail. Comfortable reading and understanding construction drawings. (or desire to learn) Excellent verbal, problem solving, and written communication skills, speak clearly. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (Quick Books Enterprise experience a plus).
SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBLITIES

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work directly with the Project Manager(s) Responsible for reviewing project documents, plans and specifications complete. Ensure materials are ordered according to the approved submittals to avoid schedule impacts. Verifying materials incoming for projects and obtaining critical lead-times for Project Manager(s) to update customers accordingly. Monitor production in the shop to verify work is per design, of the highest quality and on time. Proactively identify changes in project scope and ensure appropriate measures are taken for the development of change orders. Learn the skills of project management and gain an in-depth understanding of the industry.
REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES
An Assistant Project Manager is expected to work with supervision and a customer centered focus and initiative to proactively address issues.
TRAVEL AND HOURS OF WORK
This position requires the individual to be physically present at our main facility in Wallingford, CT. Monday through Friday (Minimum of 45 hours a week) Limited travel to project sites to review progress (Throughout New England and New York)
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS
Valid Driver's License
EDUCATION
Associate's degree in construction management or similar discipline (not required)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
( Including by not limited to ): Able to climb ladders to inspect project(s). Able to bend, crouch, twist and pull, as necessary. Able to work at a desk for extended periods of time. Regularly able to work in all types of weather.
