Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Project Manager/Superintendent to join our dynamic residential construction team. In this role, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of residential building projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to facilitate smooth project workflows while adhering to safety regulations and construction best practices. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals eager to develop their management skills and gain comprehensive experience in residential construction management. Responsibilities Assist in developing detailed project schedules using construction management software such as Job Tread, coordinating all phases of residential projects from inception to completion. Review and interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction drawings to ensure accurate implementation of design specifications. Supervise daily on-site activities, managing crews and subcontractors to maintain productivity and quality standards. Coordinate construction schedules, monitor progress against project timelines, and adjust plans as needed to meet deadlines. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with construction safety management practices, quality control standards, and regulatory requirements. Manage project documentation including contracts, change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), and progress reports using Construction Management Software. Collaborate with project stakeholders to review budgets, manage costs effectively, and ensure projects stay within financial parameters. Participate in team meetings to communicate project updates, manage expectations, and resolve issues promptly. Interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately for proper installation and construction sequencing. Oversee subcontractor performance, supervise crew management activities, and ensure adherence to construction regulations throughout the project lifecycle. Assist superiors in material and subcontractor procurement. Report back to project lead supervision on progress and problem resolution. Skills Good computer skills required, familiarity with excel, outlook, etc. Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations and federal safety protocols. Experience reading blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and interpreting construction documents accurately. Demonstrated ability in project scheduling, coordination of construction schedules, and managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Effective communication skills for managing teams in a construction management role and interacting with clients and stakeholders. Hands-on experience supervising construction sites with a focus on quality control and safety compliance. Understanding of construction regulations specific to residential building projects along with schematics review skills.
