Job Description
Weston & Sampson offers a broad range of climate and sustainability services, spanning from climate action planning, nature-based solutions and green infrastructure development, resilient building retrofits, ecological restoration, flood protection measures, climate science modeling and electrifying transport to improving climate resilience. We are looking for someone that is excited to be a part of our multidisciplinary team and help us create innovative solutions that will build a better future for people and the planet. What you'll do: Support/lead client development and business development activities, with a focus on local, state, and federal government clients Manage projects and tasks in support of the development of climate resilience plans at a range of scales, from site specific adaptation projects to regional resiliency action plans. Coordinate across technical teams to deliver a range of technical deliverables including risk and vulnerability assessments, solution development and evaluation, and implementation planning. Support public outreach and engagement initiatives including experience with building partnerships, consensus building, and/or dispute resolution Facilitate project team meetings and track progress and budgets Participate in client and project development opportunities, identify client needs, and assist with proposals and marketing materials Complete other research and writing tasks, as necessary, to support a wide range of mitigation and resilience planning tasks and overall plan development Familiarity with best practices of climate resilience planning, including the use of flood hazard data and risk mitigation strategies for inland flooding, coastal flooding, and precipitation including working knowledge of federal hazard mitigation programs Mentoring, coaching and team building MUST BE passionate about climate resilience and sustainability projects.
