Senior Project Engineer / Assistant Project ManagerOne of our growing clients in the land development engineering industry is seeking a motivated Senior Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager to join their team in Southwest Florida.

This is an excellent opportunity for a civil engineer who is ready to move beyond production design and take on increasing project leadership and management responsibilities, with a clear path toward a Project Manager role.

Position OverviewThe successful candidate will manage land development projects from concept through permitting and construction documentation while coordinating with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal engineering teams.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment and is actively pursuing or has recently obtained Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.

Key ResponsibilitiesManage land development projects from planning through permitting and design completionLead site civil design efforts, including:

GradingStormwater managementDrainage systemsUtility designRoadway and site layoutPrepare and review engineering plans and construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3DPerform and oversee engineering calculations and technical design workCoordinate with municipalities, utility agencies, and regulatory authoritiesPrepare and review permit applications and supporting documentationServe as a primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholdersMonitor project schedules, budgets, and deliverablesProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staffCoordinate work performed by Engineers-in-Training and CAD designersParticipate in business development and client growth initiativesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering2-5 years of civil engineering experience, with a focus on land developmentEngineer Intern (EI/EIT) certificationAbility to obtain PE licensure within approximately 6 monthsStrong proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3DExperience with:

Site gradingDrainage and stormwater designUtility designLand development permittingAbility to independently manage project tasks and deadlinesStrong written and verbal communication skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience with Florida land development projectsExperience coordinating directly with local jurisdictions and regulatory agenciesPE license or candidates approaching PE eligibilityExperience mentoring junior engineers or leading project teamsIdeal CandidateThe ideal candidate:
