Job Description

Electrical Permit Coordinator
  • Full-Time (In Person)
Location:
Hollywood, FL Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM
  • 5:00
PM Hours:
Minimum 40 hours per week
Pay Range:
$20
  • 25 per hour, based on experience

Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. About Solomon Electric Solomon Electric is a fast-growing electrical service company serving residential and commercial clients throughout South Florida. We are known for our professionalism, fast turnaround, and strong coordination with local municipalities. We are now seeking an experienced Electrical Permit Coordinator who understands the permitting process and can manage it efficiently from start to finish. Position Overview We are looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive professional with direct experience handling permits — ideally electrical permits — for various cities and counties in South Florida. The ideal candidate is someone who understands how municipal permitting works, can resolve issues quickly, and can manage multiple permits at the same time. This role requires strong communication skills, excellent organization, and the ability to work with urgency and accuracy under deadlines. Key Responsibilities Permit Management
  • Prepare, submit, and track electrical permit applications across multiple municipalities.
  • Follow up daily on permit statuses to ensure fast approvals.
  • Communicate with inspectors, plan reviewers, and city officials.
  • Resolve corrections, document requests, and revisions quickly.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of local building and electrical requirements.
  • Organize inspections and ensure proper documentation. Technical & Administrative
  • Prepare simple electrical sketches, diagrams, or layouts (Excel or digital tools).
  • Review job scopes and requirements from the sales team and field manager.
  • Prepare complete job packets including plans, documents, and inspection notes.
  • Keep Workiz and internal systems updated with real-time status.
  • Cross-Department Coordination
  • Work closely with the Field Manager for technical clarifications.
  • Communicate with the office team regarding project timelines and status.
  • Share updates on permits, inspections, and required corrections. Required Qualifications
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • 3-5+ years of direct experience submitting permits required (electrical permitting highly preferred).
  • Familiarity with South Florida municipalities and their submission processes.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple permits simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and follow-up abilities.
  • High computer literacy; Excel proficiency preferred.
  • Spanish speaker Reqiured. Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with electrical diagrams or basic drafting.
  • Experience in construction permitting or inspections.
  • Understanding of electrical terminology and project documentation. Job Type
