Job Summary The Project Manager at ESA Steel Services will take full ownership of ESA (Fabrication, Industrial Services, Metal Buildings, and Contracting Services) projects, managing all phases of the project, including pre-fabrication, material ordering, fabrication, billing, and, when applicable, erection performed by ESA Steel Services group of companies. The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring projects meet or exceed budgetary goals, adhere to timelines, and comply with industry standards. This role includes handling AIA billing processes and maintaining fiscal accountability to deliver successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities Project Ownership:
Oversee all stages of projects for the ESA Group of companies (ESA Fabrication, ESA Industrial Services, ESA Metal Buildings, ESA Contracting Services) from the planning stages through Final billingProject Planning:
Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, resource allocation, and material requirements, ensuring alignment with client specifications and company standards.Material Management:
Coordinate and manage material ordering, ensuring timely procurement and cost-effective sourcing while maintaining quality standards.Fabrication Oversight:
Monitor fabrication processes to ensure compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.Erection Coordination:
When applicable, manage on-site erection activities, coordinating with ESA Industrial Services erection teams to ensure safe and efficient project completion.Fiscal Responsibility:
Maintain strict adherence to project budgets, tracking costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring projects meet or exceed financial expectations.AIA Billing:
Prepare and submit accurate AIA billing documents, ensuring timely and compliant invoicing for project milestones.Client Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction.Team Coordination:
Collaborate with internal teams (design, fabrication, and erection) and external stakeholders (clients, suppliers, detailers, and subcontractors) to ensure seamless project execution.Risk Management:
Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track and within scope.Documentation:
Maintain accurate project records, including contracts change orders, progress reports, and compliance documentation.Quality Control:
Ensure all project deliverables meet ESA Steel Services quality standards and client expectations. Key Performance Indicators Its the Responsibility of the Project Manager (PM) to track the following KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) o Track Gross Margin per Project- 15% or Better o On Time Completion
