Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Permitting Coordinator to join our team and ensure smooth navigation through complex regulatory processes. In this vital role, you will manage the permitting procedures necessary for construction projects while ensuring compliance. Your expertise will help facilitate timely approvals, maintain regulatory compliance, and support the successful execution of projects from inception to completion. Responsibilities Prepare, submit, track, and obtain permits through local municipalities and governing agencies Review project plans and documentation to ensure permit requirements are met Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, inspectors, and AHJs throughout the permitting process Monitor permit statuses and proactively follow up to prevent project delays Maintain permit logs and project documentation Schedule inspections and communicate inspection outcomes to project teams Research permitting requirements across multiple jurisdictions Assist with licensing, applications, and compliance-related documentation Support project closeout and final approvals as needed Qualifications Previous experience in permitting, construction administration, project coordination, or a related field required Experience working with municipalities and permitting agencies preferred Knowledge of construction documents, site plans, and permit applications Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously Excellent communication and follow-up skills Proficient with Microsoft Office and ability to learn permitting software systems Preferred Experience Experience in electrical permitting (preferred if applicable) Familiarity with commercial and/or residential construction processes Experience scheduling inspections and coordinating with utilities What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Paid time off and holidays Team-oriented work environment Growth opportunities within the company
