Project Manager Intrepid Powerboats, Inc - 3.3 Largo, FL Job Details 11 hours ago Qualifications Managing projects Full Job Description Position Summary The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing projects related to new product development and strategic initiatives in a fast-paced boat manufacturing environment. This role serves as the central point of communication between Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Sales, and executive leadership to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with company quality standards. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple complex projects while driving accountability across cross-functional teams. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Project Planning & Execution Lead cross-functional projects from concept through implementation and launch. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements. Monitor project progress and identify risks, roadblocks, and mitigation strategies. Facilitate project meetings and communicate status updates to stakeholders and leadership. Ensure project deliverables are completed on schedule and within budget. New Product Development Coordinate activities associated with new boat model development and product launches. This includes design freezes and Engineering freezes on all new products. Manage project timelines for design, tooling, prototyping, testing, validation, and production readiness. Collaborate with Engineering to track design changes, engineering releases, and milestone completion. Support launch readiness reviews and production ramp-up activities. Track project performance metrics and report results against objectives. Cross-Functional Coordination Serve as liaison between Engineering, Production, Quality, Purchasing, Service, and Sales departments. Ensure alignment of project goals and priorities across all stakeholders. Coordinate supplier activities and external resources as required. Escalate issues requiring leadership support or decision-making. Documentation & Reporting Maintain project schedules, action item logs, risk registers, and status reports. Develop executive-level presentations and project summaries. Ensure proper documentation of project milestones, approvals, and lessons learned. Track project budgets and expenditures. Perform competitive product analysis for each new project in regard to features and pricing for new models. Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Management, Manufacturing, Project Management, or a related field. Minimum 3-5 years of project management experience in manufacturing, marine, automotive, aerospace, or related industries. Experience managing cross-functional teams and complex projects. Marine industry experience preferred. Knowledge & Skills Strong project management and organizational skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience with ERP, PLM, or manufacturing systems preferred. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. Preferred Certifications PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to walk through manufacturing facilities and production areas. Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to work in office, manufacturing, and outdoor marine environments as needed.
