Job Description
Assistant Project Manager - Job Description The Assistant Project Manager supports the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and overseeing construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role assists with project documentation, subcontractor coordination, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and communication with clients, consultants, vendors, and field personnel to help ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Key Responsibilities Assist the Project Manager with daily project operations and administrative tasks. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and clients throughout all phases of the project. Help prepare and maintain project schedules, budgets, contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and closeout documentation. Track project progress and assist in identifying and resolving potential delays or issues. Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents for accuracy and completeness. Support procurement activities, including material orders and subcontractor coordination. Maintain organized project files and ensure all documentation is current and properly distributed. Attend project meetings and prepare meeting minutes and follow-up action items. Assist with permitting, inspections, and compliance requirements as needed. Monitor project costs and assist with invoice review and budget tracking. Communicate effectively with field staff to support project execution and coordination. Promote and maintain compliance with company safety standards and procedures. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or related field preferred. Previous experience in construction, project coordination, or administrative support is preferred. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities. Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners. Physical Requirements Ability to work in both office and construction site environments. May require occasional lifting of project materials or documents. Ability to travel to project sites as needed. Reports To Project Manager /
