Type:

full-time We are seeking a Project Manager Division 8 Storefront / Glazing preferably with experience in the commercial storefront, doors, glass, glazing, construction, and/or manufacturing industries. Experience with Division 8 storefront, doors, glass, and glazing and or experience with canopies, sunshades and awnings is a plus but not required. At American Products, Inc. (API), we manufacture architectural metal products locally from our facilities in Oldsmar, Fl. These products include, but are not limited to the following: Storefronts, Doors, Canopies, Sunshades, ACM panel systems, Brake metal, Awnings, Roof screens, and handrails, etc. Some of the largest national chains in the country are our customers as well as architects, general contractors and subcontractors located nationally throughout the US. Project Manager Key Responsibilities, but

NOT Limited To:

Manage projects including a variety of product scopes such as glass and glazing, storefronts, doors, canopies, sunshades, ACM, brake metal, etc. Qualify material takeoffs for a wide variety of products, like those listed above. Analyze and interpret architectural plans as you review your orders and communicate with the customers. Proficiently read shop drawings and identify needed changes. Communicate with customers regularly on status of projects. Work with production and purchasing to source materials and obtain quotes from vendors and negotiate pricing. Provide detailed paperwork in a timely manner. Work with internal teams such as sales, estimating, production and bid coordination to discuss. Meet deadlines. Participate in weekly meetings on project status and provide detailed reporting of projects.

Project Manager Key Qualifications:

2+ years in construction/building materials and storefront, glass and glazing preferred. Knowledge of various types of architectural building materials such as Storefront systems, Canopies, Awnings, ACM, Handrail, Asset Protection, etc. Experience with Division 8, Division 5 and Division 10 experience an absolute plus. Ability to read and understand blueprints. Ability to self-motivate, work proactively and be an effective team player. Proficient knowledge of Windows operating systems. Proficiency in MS Word and Excel. Advanced computer skills a plus. AutoCAD experience a plus. Experience with Bluebeam or other estimating software a plus. Purchasing experience, a plus.
