Assistant Project Manager / Estimator

Job Description:

Ems Site Development is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support our civil construction operations. The ideal candidate will assist Project Managers with planning, coordination, and execution of sitework, underground utilities, grading, roadwork, and other infrastructure-related projects. Key Responsibilities:

Assist Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination and site operations Support the planning and execution of civil construction activities including earthwork, utility installation, concrete, and paving Track and manage project schedules, RFIs, submittals, and change orders Coordinate with field superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors Monitor material deliveries, subcontractor performance, and project progress Help manage job costs, budgets, and production tracking Maintain organized project documentation, reports, meeting minutes, and logs Assist with permit tracking and regulatory compliance Conduct site visits to support field operations and ensure safety and quality standards are met Communicate project updates and issues to internal teams and clients

Requirements:

1-3 years of experience in civil construction (sitework, utilities, roadwork, or related) Solid understanding of civil construction methods, plans, and specifications Proficient with construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, Excel, etc.) Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and specifications Comfortable working in the field and office as needed Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in public works, DOT, or municipal infrastructure projects OSHA 10 or 30 certification Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

$55,415.79 - $72,000.00 per year
