Job Description

PERMIT COORDINATOR
Freedom Air and Plumbing Location:
Rockledge, FL 32955
Schedule:
Full-Time Hourly - plus OT / weekends as needed
Compensation:
$19 - $25 / Hour The Permit Coordinator is responsible for managing the process of obtaining permits. They work with building departments and other professionals to ensure that all projects adhere to local building codes and regulations.

They work with building departments and other professionals to ensure that all projects adhere to local building codes and regulations. The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Research and prepare permit applications for submission to the appropriate regulatory agency. Track and monitor the status of permit applications through the approval process Prepare reports on permit activity; Track permit activity Coordinate with other departments within the organization to ensure compliance with permit requirements. Keep abreast of changes in permit regulations and advise management of potential impacts Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to permitting Serve as a liaison between the organization, customers, and regulatory agencies during the inspection process Responsible for resolving issues that arise during the permit process Maintain accurate records of permit Performing other work-related duties as assigned Other duties as assigned What we are looking for: Solid Computer Skills - especially EXCEL Service Titan experience preferred Positive, professional, and friendly demeanor Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities Self-motivated, organized, and team-oriented Ability to communicate effectively establish rapport, present information and respond to questions from managers, clients. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts; ability to apply concepts of basic accounting. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form Must have good organizational skills as the role often has many tasks to complete in a short period of time. Time Management - a necessary skill as they often have many tasks to complete in a day. Also, must have the ability to multi-task throughout the day The ability to identify a problem, analyze it and find a solution Experience in the Home Services industry is preferred Receptive to coaching for improved performance High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or higher a plus)
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift and move boxes of documents (up to 25 pounds). Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to operate a shredder and scanning equipment for extended periods.
SCHEDULE
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm; can change as business needs change, to include OverTime, Evenings, Weekends Pre-Employment Requirements All employment offers are contingent on successful completion of a criminal background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle report (if applicable).
