  • 70,000 estimated total annual compensation Job description: About Presto Painting Presto Painting is a growing painting company serving residential and commercial customers throughout the Tampa Bay area.

The company operates primarily as a virtual business, with interviews, training, and occasional team meetings held at designated locations throughout the Tampa Bay area. We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee painting projects from start to finish while serving as the main point of contact between customers, crews, and the company. About the

Role:

Do you have experience managing construction, painting, renovation, or home-service projects and enjoy being out in the field? This could be a great opportunity for you. As a Project Manager, you'll manage approximately 6-8 active projects at a time and oversee 4-6 subcontractor painting crews. You'll coordinate schedules, materials, labor, customer communication, quality control, project margins, and final closeouts. This is a primarily field-based position. You'll regularly visit job sites, conduct inspections and walkthroughs, communicate with customers and crews, and solve problems as they arise. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, comfortable holding crews accountable, and able to stay calm and professional when projects don't go exactly as planned.

What You'll Do:
  • Manage approximately 6-8 active projects at a time
  • Oversee approximately 4-6 subcontractor painting crews
  • Manage residential and commercial painting projects from start to finish
  • Conduct project kickoffs, jobsite visits, inspections, and final walkthroughs
  • Coordinate labor, materials, schedules, color matches, and return trips
  • Communicate with homeowners, crews, office staff, estimators, vendors, and leadership
  • Keep projects on schedule and within budget
  • Monitor expected project margins and profitability
  • Forecast labor and material needs
  • Review scopes of work and project requirements
  • Manage change orders and project closeouts
  • Hold crews accountable for quality, preparation, cleanliness, professionalism, and safety
  • Address problems proactively and coordinate corrections or touch-ups
  • Evaluate crew performance
  • Help maintain strong and reliable subcontractor relationships
  • Maintain organized project documentation, photos, updates, and administrative records
  • Use company technology and software to track projects and communication
  • Identify potential lead-generation opportunities around active job sites when appropriate
What We're Looking For:
  • Minimum 2 years of project management experience
  • Painting, renovation, construction, or related trade experience preferred
  • Experience managing subcontractors or crews
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of residential and commercial painting processes preferred
  • Experience with scheduling, timelines, jobsite coordination, and project closeouts
  • Understanding of scopes of work, labor/material requirements, forecasting, change orders, and project margins
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills
  • Comfortable leading crews and holding people accountable
  • Comfortable addressing performance issues professionally
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable transportation
  • Comfortable traveling throughout Hillsborough, Pinellas, and Pasco counties
  • Comfortable using Google Workspace, spreadsheets, email, project management software, iPads, laptops, and smartphones
  • Comfortable working outdoors and walking jobsites
  • Able to climb ladders when necessary
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Calm and professional under pressure
  • Available for occasional weekend work
Compensation & Benefits:
  • $45,000
  • 55,000 base salary, depending on experience
  • Up to $1,500 quarterly NPS bonus
  • Approximately $5,000
  • 10,000 year-end performance bonus
  • Additional lead-generation bonus opportunities
  • Potential for up to $100 per qualified appointment/lead generated around active jobsites
  • Estimated total annual compensation of approximately $60,000
  • $70,000 for a strong performer
  • $425/month vehicle stipend after 3 months of employment

  • Bonus Opportunities Your total compensation can increase based on your performance.
Quarterly NPS Bonus:

Up to $1,500 per quarter based on customer satisfaction and NPS performance.

Year-End Performance Bonus:

Approximately $5,000

  • 10,000 based on factors such as project margins, margin percentage, revenue, NPS, and customer reviews.
Lead Generation Bonus:

Additional opportunities to earn money by identifying qualified leads around active jobsites and helping schedule estimates, with potential payouts of up to $100 per appointment/lead.

Requirements:
  • 2+ years of project management experience
  • Painting, construction, renovation, remodeling, or related trade experience preferred
  • Experience overseeing crews or subcontractors

  • Understanding of project schedules, budgets, labor, and materials
  • Ability to monitor project margins and profitability
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to hold crews accountable
  • Bilingual in Spanish

  • Willingness to travel throughout the Tampa Bay service area
  • Comfortable working primarily in the field
  • Comfortable walking job sites and climbing ladders when necessary

  • Available for approximately 2 weekends per month

Schedule:
  • Full-time — approximately 40 hours per week Typical schedule:
  • Monday-Friday, approximately 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
  • Some flexibility is available depending on project needs.

The Project Manager is expected to stay until work is completed when necessary. You'll need weekend availability, averaging about two weekends per month. Weekend work may involve Saturday or Sunday, and occasionally both days for larger commercial projects. Administrative work can be completed between jobsite visits using a vehicle, iPad, laptop, or phone.
