  • Systems to support a portfolio of finance automation initiatives in Tampa, Florida.
This Long-term Contract position will help expand delivery capacity by leading projects that improve efficiency, reinforce internal controls, and enhance data reliability across accounting close, consolidation, and reporting activities. The role combines project leadership with strong knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform and finance operations in a controlled environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead multiple automation projects from planning through implementation, coordinating timelines, priorities, and deliverables across finance and technical teams.
  • Partner with accounting and finance stakeholders to identify process inefficiencies and shape practical system-based solutions that reduce manual work.
  • Oversee the design and deployment of tools built with Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, Dataverse, and AI Builder to support reporting and close-related activities.
  • Translate record-to-report business needs, including reconciliations, journal processes, intercompany activity, and close tasks, into structured technical project plans.
  • Ensure project outputs align with internal control expectations by maintaining audit-ready documentation, validation support, and appropriate evidence within automated workflows.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration using formal project management and Agile delivery practices to keep initiatives moving effectively.
  • Support governance, testing, and change management activities for automation solutions, including work performed in regulated or highly controlled environments.
  • Monitor risks, dependencies, and project status updates while communicating clearly with stakeholders on progress, issues, and next steps. Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, including formal ownership of cross-functional systems or process automation initiatives.
  • Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, Dataverse, and AI Builder.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query, Power Pivot, complex formulas, and Office Scripts.
  • Strong understanding of record-to-report processes such as journal entries, reconciliations, intercompany accounting, and financial close activities.
  • Working knowledge of internal controls, audit evidence requirements, and SOX-compliant process design.
  • Familiarity with segregation of duties, change management, validation practices, and documentation standards in regulated environments.
  • Ability to finance and operational challenges into scalable technical solutions while working with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Additional experience with SharePoint, Azure SQL Database, Python, or the Power Platform CoE Starter Kit is preferred.
