//www.dayzim.com/services-and-products/maintenance-construction Position Summary We're looking for a Mechanical Project Coordinator to join us in supporting nuclear projects in Baxley, GA The Mechanical Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating project activities prior to field implementation, allowing supervisors and craft personnel to focus on execution. This role serves as a key liaison between Project Management, Engineering, Maintenance, Planning, Procurement, and Site Operations to ensure projects are successfully planned, scheduled, budgeted, and executed. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical project coordination experience within industrial, power generation, or nuclear environments and have hands-on experience utilizing IBM Maximo for work management, maintenance planning, asset management, and project tracking. Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Coordination Coordinate mechanical projects from initial planning through project closeout. Meet with Project Managers, Engineers, and Site Leadership to review project designs, scope, and implementation strategies. Schedule and facilitate project walkdowns utilizing: D&Z Estimator D&Z Lead Supervisors Site Mechanical Leadership Develop written project reviews and recommendations for client approval prior to project execution. Maximo Administration & Project Tracking Utilize IBM Maximo to create, manage, monitor, and close work orders associated with project activities. Maintain accurate equipment, asset, and maintenance records within Maximo. Track project milestones, labor hours, materials, and equipment usage using Maximo and other project management systems. Generate reports and provide project status updates utilizing Maximo data. Risk Assessment Partner with Project Management to develop project risk matrices identifying potential schedule, budget, material, and execution risks. Assist in mitigation planning and contingency development. Budget & Cost Control Work with estimating teams to develop budgetary estimates during project planning phases. Support the development of estimates within a 10% range to assist Project Managers in securing project funding. Monitor project budgets and provide weekly reporting of actual hours worked versus planned and earned value metrics. Identify cost risks and recommend corrective actions when necessary. Scheduling & Resource Planning Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil leads to develop project schedules and execution plans. Monitor project progress against schedule and communicate deviations to project leadership. Coordinate labor, equipment, contractor, and resource requirements. Materials Management Collaborate with site planners and procurement teams to obtain all required project materials and equipment. Track material deliveries and provide weekly updates on procurement activities and long-lead items. Work closely with vendors and suppliers to support successful project execution. Project Closeout Prepare comprehensive project closeout documentation. Ensure work packages are properly completed and turned over to the client. Document lessons learned, project performance metrics, and completed scope of work. Required Qualifications Minimum 3+ years of experience coordinating mechanical projects, maintenance projects, outages, or capital projects in industrial, power generation, utility, manufacturing, or nuclear environments. Demonstrated experience using IBM Maximo is required. Experience managing work orders, maintenance planning, asset records, and project reporting within Maximo. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, maintenance practices, equipment installation, repairs, and project execution. Experience supporting project schedules, budgets, estimating, and resource planning. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment. Preferred Qualifications Nuclear industry experience. Mechanical maintenance or outage planning experience. Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Experience coordinating contractors and third-party vendors. Project Management certification (CAPM, PMP, or equivalent) is a plus. In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $95,000- $171,000 This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. Expertise in:
