Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our team! In this vital role, you will support project managers in coordinating and executing projects efficiently, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes. Your proactive approach, organizational skills, and technical proficiency will help drive project success from inception through completion. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in project coordination, office management, and client communication within a collaborative environment. Duties Assist the project manager in planning, scheduling, and tracking project milestones using productivity software and spreadsheets Accurately communicate project status and updates to the project manager. Relay status update of subcontracted labor and material arrival to the project manager. Transport equipment and supplies to job sites and be able to pull a trailer for some pickup of materials. Be able to pass a background check for credentialing and have a clean motor vehicle report. Coordinate meeting detailed notes on project status and update computer project management software when necessary, and distribute follow-up action items Manage project documentation including reports, correspondence, and filing systems with precision and attention to detail Support client communication by answering inquiries via phone or email with professionalism and courtesy Maintain calendars for project timelines, team schedules, and key deliverables using calendar management tools Handle data entry tasks accurately within QuickBooks and other office management software Provide job time to the office staff for payroll and coordinate with office personnel on job paperwork. Construction knowledge to provide oversite is necessary. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and productivity software for document creation and data management Experience with data entry, proofreading, filing, and maintaining accurate records Excellent and professional phone etiquette and customer service skills to support client communication and support tasks Ability and responsible enough to manage and organize your tasks and day with the oversite and direction of the project manager. Bilingual abilities are a plus but not required. Construction education is a plus but job training experience is accepted.
