The Fire Sprinkler Project Manager is responsible for the full lifecycle management of fire sprinkler projects, from contract award through final inspection and closeout. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with NFPA standards and local authority requirements. Our PM also serves as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, field teams, and inspectors while protecting company profitability and reputation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage multiple fire sprinkler projects, including new construction and retrofits. Review contracts, drawings, hydraulic calculations, and specifications. Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget. Oversee submittals, procurement, inspections, and closeout, ensuring success and AHJ approvals. Track job costs, labor productivity, and material usage to ensure targeted gross project margins are maintained. Prepare and manage change orders. Lead coordination meetings and supervise field teams, promoting a strong culture of safety and accountability. Maintain high level of client satisfaction. Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and safety regulations.
Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in fire sprinkler installation and project management. Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and local regulations. Ability to read blueprints and technical specifications. Strong financial and job cost management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software. NICET Certification preferred.
