Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Project Manager who will be responsible for the overall management, financial performance, and successful execution of commercial HVAC construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This position will oversee project planning, budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, procurement, and customer communication to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget. The Project Manager works closely with Project Engineers, Superintendents, Foremen, subcontractors, vendors, customers, and internal departments to support successful project delivery.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Manage all phases of commercial HVAC construction projects from kickoff through project closeout. 2. Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and cost controls. 3. Monitor labor productivity, material costs, subcontractor performance, and overall project profitability. 4. Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, and scope requirements. 5. Prepare and manage change orders, purchase orders, subcontract agreements, and project documentation. 6. Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and internal resources to support project execution. 7. Lead project meetings and maintain communication with owners, general contractors, consultants, and field teams. 8. Work closely with Superintendents and Foremen to support manpower planning and field operations. 9. Identify and proactively resolve project risks, conflicts, delays, and cost impacts. 10. Ensure projects comply with company standards, contract requirements, applicable codes, and safety regulations. 11. Review and approve project billings, invoices, and cost reports. 12. Support estimating, pre-construction planning, and project turnover activities. 13. Maintain accurate project records, schedules, and reporting. 14. Promote and support compliance with company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and project-specific safety plans. Participates in safety reviews, incident investigations, and corrective action efforts as needed. 15. Mentor and support Project Engineers and other project staff. 16. Develop and maintain project cash flow projections and monitor financial performance throughout the project lifecycle. 17. Negotiate and resolve contract, scope, and pricing issues with customers, subcontractors, and vendors. 18. Review and approve subcontractor and supplier buyout packages to ensure project profitability and scope compliance. 19. Participate in project turnover meetings and ensure smooth transition from estimating to operations. 20. Maintain positive customer relationships and identify opportunities for additional work, change orders, or future projects. 21. Support company business development efforts through customer interaction and industry networking. 22. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred. 2. Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial HVAC construction project management preferred. 3. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, construction processes, scheduling, and budgeting. 4. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts. 5. Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. 6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction/project management software. 7. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. 8. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Pay:
From $80,000.00 per year
