Project Manager Job Description As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all elements necessary for a successful field project. Once the client receives authorization to commence a project, you will take on the leadership role, ensuring the project's success. Responsibilities Compile and organize all project requirements for successful execution. Lead and manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring successful outcomes. Coordinate with engineering and design teams to support project needs. Estimate materials and labor costs accurately. Develop and maintain long-term customer relationships, acting as a trusted advisor. Support the transition into direct sales or customer development as needed. Essential Skills Mechanical expertise. Experience in project management. Knowledge of construction and construction management. Experience in mechanical engineering and industrial construction. Proficiency in CAD or ability to coordinate engineering and design support. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with material handling systems, millwright services, or industrial installations. Estimating experience for materials and labor. Experience in mechanical systems, industrial construction, or manufacturing environments. Strong problem-solving mindset focused on continuous improvement. Willingness to develop long-term customer relationships. Work Environment Enjoy a family-friendly environment with a high degree of autonomy. You will receive a company vehicle and gas card, provided you are insurable. There's flexibility in how you manage your time, whether onsite or in the office, as long as the work is completed. The leadership style is hands-off, providing support as needed but allowing you independence. The company offers profit-sharing and tuition reimbursement. Projects are primarily within 50 miles, with occasional travel required every six months or so. The average project turnover is around two months, though this can vary. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hiawatha, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $57.70/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
