Metro Pavers, Inc. is a local, family owned and operated paving company that has been in business since 1966. We are currently seeking an experienced Onsite Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of paving projects from initiation to completion, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Manage and coordinate paving projects from start to finish, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation. Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors to ensure work is performed safely and efficiently. Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to provide project updates and address any issues or concerns. Obtains all required permits timely. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times. Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and reports. Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred., and 5 years of relevant experience. Proven experience as a Project Manager in the paving or construction industry. Adheres to all OSHA and DOT regulations, and Metro Pavers, Inc. policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at all times. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age. Authorization to work in the United States is required. (Metro Group utilizes E-Verify) Successful completion of a pre-employment physical examination and drug screening. Must pass a background check. Ability to obtain a security badge at the Eastern Iowa Airport is necessary. 30 Hour OSHA Certification - must have or be willing to get. (The company will provide) Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. First Aid/CPR and BBP certification - must have or be willing to get. (The company will provide) Availability to work over 40 hours per week, including weekends if necessary for the job, is essential. Proficient in using software packages such as Excel, Word, and Outlook. Demonstrates strong work ethics, reliability, honesty, attention to detail, organizational skills, and self-motivation. Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate onsite teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in project management software and tools and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of paving techniques, materials, and equipment. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Analyzes problems and makes sound decisions in a timely manner based on objectives, risks, implications, and costs. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Physical Requirements The physical requirements outlined below reflect the necessary skills and abilities. Regularly lifting up to 50 lbs. which may include lifting equipment on and off trucks. Occasional twisting, pulling, climbing, and carrying heavy objects. Standing, climbing, and/or walking for extended times. Occasionally reading fine print. Viewing in indirect and direct sunlight. Working regularly on a computer and/or tablet.
