Type:
full-time An Assistant Project Manager (APM) supports the Project Manager through project administration, documentation, scheduling, cost tracking, subcontractor coordination, quality, safety, and closeout. Serves as a key office and field coordination resource to ensure project information, commitments, and deliverables remain accurate, timely, and aligned with project requirements. Reports to PM.
Project Documentation:
Maintains project records including permits, submittals, RFIs, change orders, meeting notes, plans, photos, logs, and other required documentation to support compliance and communication.
Schedule Support:
Assists PM with tracking and updating project schedules, deliverables and subcontractor commitments.
Subcontractor & Vendor Coordination:
Assists PM with PO creation, entry, and issuance; tracks subcontractor documentation, compliance requirements, invoices, and change order support.
Field & Office Coordination:
Coordinates communication between the PM, Superintendent, Foreman, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and client representatives to keep project activities aligned.
Quality & Safety Support:
Participates in job site visits, helps verify work progress and documentation, supports quality control follow-up, and reinforces compliance with company safety requirements.
Project Closeout Support:
Organizes punch lists, as-builts, closeout documents, turnover records, and final project files to support timely completion and owner acceptance.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in the construction industry Strong organizational skills Proficient with Microsoft
