The Opportunity:
As a Project Manager on the Special Packaging and Media team, you will manage your own portfolio of projects. You will partner with the sales teams across Media, Spirits, Beauty and other Smurfit Westrock businesses to support profitable growth, maintain strong customer relationships, and deliver effective packaging solutions for both existing and prospective customers. How you will impact
Smurfit Westrock:
Develop a deep understanding of the Special Packaging/Media business and coordinate projects across a diverse project management team, including scoping, estimating, design development and execution. Leverage strong operational and business knowledge to collaborate effectively across functions, manage third-party supplier relationships, resolve issues, and deliver successful customer outcomes. Manage projects from proposal through delivery, ensuring solutions are delivered on time, meeting customer expectations, and maintain clear communication with internal and external stakeholders. Maintain strong knowledge of Smurfit Westrock capabilities and pricing to resolve customer inquiries. Develop innovative packaging and media solutions in partnership with Sales, aligning proposals with customer requirements, budgets, production capabilities, and business objectives. Analyze sales, margin, and project performance using tools such as SFDC and QlikView to drive improvements, support positive financial results, and identify upselling and revenue growth opportunities.
What you need to succeed:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) preferred, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant project management experience. Demonstrated knowledge of the packaging industry, manufacturing processes, and print specifications. Strong customer service orientation with demonstrated experience developing and delivering customer-focused solutions. Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish credibility across all levels of an organization. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to independently manage multiple priorities accurately and effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Salesforce, with strong critical thinking skills and the ability to navigate cross-functional teams to resolve challenges. Must be based at Carol Stream, Illinois' work location and be willing to travel up to 10% as needed.

The salary range for this position is $85,125.00 - $141,875.00, depending on your role, level, and location. The range listed is also the expected pay for roles in Illinois and Colorado. The benefits for this role include short-term bonus incentive, health, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and paid sick leave as required by applicable state/local law, 15 days of paid vacation, and 11 days of paid holidays, subject to annual change.
