This role is responsible for leading complex, cross-functional creative initiatives that strengthen brand awareness, support business objectives, and deliver impactful multi-channel marketing solutions. The ideal candidate is a highly proactive project leader with agency experience, exceptional organizational skills, and a strong understanding of creative workflows, stakeholder management, and integrated marketing campaign execution. Onsite; Abbott Park, IL Top 3 Required Qualifications 7+ years of project management experience within a creative agency, in-house agency, marketing organization, or related environment Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional marketing and creative projects from initiation through delivery Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills Other Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field PMP certification or similar project management certification preferred Experience managing integrated marketing campaigns and creative workstreams Strong understanding of project management methodologies, workflows, and governance Experience supporting forecasting, budget tracking, and resource planning Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously Strong risk management and problem-solving skills Experience mentoring junior project managers and team members Events, trade shows, experiential marketing, or brand activation experience highly preferred Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & Delivery Lead multiple complex Tier 1 projects simultaneously from kickoff through final delivery Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, budgets, and resource allocations Manage project scope, risks, dependencies, issues, and change requests Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives Lead project closeout activities and document lessons learned Creative & Marketing Collaboration Partner with strategists, creative directors, writers, designers, and marketing teams to deliver integrated campaigns and content Help ensure creative solutions align with brand strategy and organizational goals Connect related workstreams and identify opportunities for greater impact across initiatives Support the development of insights-driven marketing and creative solutions Stakeholder & Team Management Serve as the central point of contact across internal teams, business partners, and external vendors Build trusted relationships and drive alignment across stakeholder groups Facilitate project meetings, reviews, planning sessions, and status updates Escalate issues proactively and help remove project roadblocks Operational Excellence Maintain project documentation, reporting, and governance standards Partner with Operations teams on forecasting, reporting, resource planning, and project metrics Monitor budgets, expenditures, and project performance Drive continuous improvement of project management processes and workflows Support onboarding, training, and change management initiatives Leadership & Mentorship Mentor junior and mid-level project managers Provide guidance, support, and feedback to project teams Promote best practices, collaboration, and a culture of continuous improvement Recognize and celebrate team achievements and project successes Ideal Candidate Profile Experienced project leader with a strong creative agency background Strategic thinker who can balance high-level business objectives with day-to-day execution Skilled at managing complex stakeholder environments Excellent communicator and facilitator Strong operational mindset with forecasting and budget management experience Passionate about creative excellence, marketing effectiveness, and team collaboration Comfortable working in fast-paced, highly visible environments In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data, including medical data.
