at Design Mavens Architecture PLLC in Normal, Illinois, United States Job Description Key Responsibilities Lead and manage architectural projects through all phases of design and construction, including programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, bidding, and construction administration. Work with clients to develop project objectives and priorities. Manage client relationships and project deliverables from initial design phase to project completion. Develop project work plans, establish project priorities, monitor progress, and proactively manage project scope and deliverables. Coordinate and lead project meetings with clients, consultants, contractors and internal project teams. Direct and oversee the preparation and coordination of construction documents, specifications, and project manuals. Produce building models and construction drawings using Revit. Produce project manual and specifications. Provide technical leadership by resolving complex design and construction challenges while ensuring projects meet applicable codes, standards, and quality expectations. Manage the coordination of architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and specialty consultant work throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct site visits, review construction progress, respond to RFIs, review submittals, evaluate change orders, and resolve field issues to support successful project execution. Mentor, supervise, and support the professional development of architectural staff while fostering collaboration and accountability within project teams. Communicate project status, schedules, risks, and staffing needs regularly with Firm Principals. Participate in project planning, fee proposals, contract negotiations, business development, and marketing initiatives to support firm growth. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with firm quality standards and client expectations. Promote an efficient, collaborative, and iterative design process that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
