full-time We are partnered with an ENR Top 25 contractor looking to hire a Senior Project Manager for its growing Chicago operation. This is an opportunity to join a nationally recognized builder with the resources to deliver large, technically complex projects without sacrificing the stability and local relationships of an established regional team. The business has a diverse portfolio spanning commercial, healthcare, education, advanced manufacturing, mission-critical and large-scale institutional construction. That diversification, combined with a strong backlog and long-standing client relationships, provides genuine stability and protection against fluctuations in any single market. Lead large, high-profile projects, including builds valued well above $100M Join an ENR Top 25 contractor with a strong national reputation Work alongside dedicated preconstruction, estimating, scheduling, VDC, safety and field teams Diverse project portfolio with limited reliance on one sector Strong backlog and a consistent pipeline of work throughout Chicagoland Clear progression toward Project Executive and senior leadership Established systems, technology and resources that allow project teams to operate effectively Responsibilities Lead projects from preconstruction and procurement through construction and final closeout Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers and project stakeholders Manage project budgets, schedules, contracts, forecasting and risk Lead and mentor Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers Partner closely with field leadership to maintain safety, quality and schedule expectations Oversee subcontractor procurement, buyout, change management and financial reporting Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities for repeat business Ensure projects are delivered safely, profitably and to the highest standard Experience Required Eight or more years of commercial construction experience with a reputable General Contractor Previous experience leading large or technically complex projects Strong understanding of project financials, contracts, scheduling and risk management Proven ability to lead project teams and manage client relationships Experience across commercial, healthcare, education, industrial, mission-critical or institutional construction is preferred Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline is preferred Compensation and Benefits Base salary between $160,000 and $195,000, depending on experience Annual performance bonus, typically targeting 15-20% Company vehicle or monthly vehicle allowance Fuel card and project-related expenses Comprehensive medical, dental and vision insurance 401(k) plan with company match Three to four weeks of paid time off Paid holidays and parental leave Company-paid life and disability insurance Laptop, phone and necessary technology Professional-development and continuing-education support This position is suited to a Senior Project Manager who wants access to larger projects, stronger resources and long-term career progression within one of the country's most established contractors.
