Sr Project Planner

Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Project Planner to support Generator Interconnection efforts for a major energy client. This role sits on the customer side of the interconnection process, focusing on submitting, reviewing, and managing interconnection applications rather than deep substation-level engineering design. The ideal candidate brings project management experience within the energy industry, a solid understanding of GI workflows, and the ability to coordinate across internal teams and external entities. With a strong emphasis on large load and data center applications, this role plays a critical part in accelerating interconnection timelines, improving data quality, and supporting system studies through effective coordination and automation. •  Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
•  Project Management experience within the energy or utility industry
•  Familiarity with Generator Interconnection (GI) processes
•  Ability to gather, organize, and validate application data for interconnection requests
•  Familiarity with NERC compliance
•  Working knowledge of ISO/RTO environments
•  Experience with Interconnection Agreements
•  EE degree or background
•  Experience with large load or data center interconnection applications
•  Python experience for workflow automation and data processing
