Project Controls Specialist Location:
ALCOA Warrick Plant, Newburgh, IN Salary Range:
$87,000 - $118,000 annually, depending on experience About the Role We are seeking a Project Controls Specialist I to join our team supporting operations at the ALCOA Warrick Plant in Newburgh, Indiana. This role is responsible for project controls, invoicing, forecasting, cost management, reporting, accruals, allocations, and portfolio monitoring for a diverse project portfolio. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, site leadership, finance teams, and clients to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and remain financially successful. Key Responsibilities Generate and submit client invoices through required systems and resolve invoicing issues Track invoice status and provide regular reporting to site leadership Develop and maintain project cost, schedule, and forecast information Support project setup and administration for billable projects and purchase orders Monitor project expenditures and assist with change order management Coordinate monthly accrual processes, including data collection, validation, and reporting Support allocation and cash flow management activities Prepare and distribute project controls reports, forecasts, and performance metrics Monitor project portfolios and provide status reporting to project managers and leadership Participate in project reviews, audits, and financial analysis activities Identify trends, risks, and opportunities and recommend corrective actions Support project closeout and documentation activities Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and client requirements Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, Project Controls, or a related field preferred Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered 4+ years of project controls, cost control, project accounting, scheduling, or related experience Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience with project reporting tools Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and financial reporting Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, energy, mining, chemical, or capital project environments Experience with automated project controls, cost management, or scheduling systems Experience supporting large project portfolios and multiple stakeholders Benefits We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including: Medical (Blue Cross Blue Shield) Health Savings Account (HSA) Dental (Delta Dental) Vision (VSP) Short-Term Disability Long-Term Disability Life Insurance Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) with company match up to 5% after one year of service Annual discretionary company contribution Time Off With Pay (TOWP) Paid Holidays Paid Bereavement Leave Jury Duty Pay Paid Volunteer Time And more Why Join Us?
