Job Title:
Project Manager Job Description Our Client is seeking a Project Manager to lead electronics manufacturing projects and operational improvement initiatives from early planning through final delivery. This role is well suited to someone who thrives in a high‑volume manufacturing environment, enjoys a mix of structured project coordination and hands‑on time on the production floor, and can effectively align people, processes, and resources to achieve operational excellence. Responsibilities Own manufacturing and improvement initiatives from initial scope definition through execution and project closeout. Plan, coordinate, and oversee electronics manufacturing projects to ensure on‑time, on‑budget, and high‑quality delivery. Create, maintain, and roll out clear work instructions and operational documentation to support consistent production processes. Collaborate cross‑functionally with purchasing, fabrication, production, and installation teams to align schedules, resources, and priorities. Monitor project financials, including labor usage, material costs, outside services, and indirect expenses, and take action to keep projects within budget. Maintain detailed project timelines, track milestones, and proactively identify risks and issues that could impact schedule, cost, or quality. Communicate project status updates, risks, and mitigation plans to internal stakeholders in a timely and transparent manner. Support operational efficiency initiatives across production areas by identifying bottlenecks and recommending process improvements. Drive quality improvement efforts by ensuring work instructions and processes reflect best practices and lessons learned from previous projects. Engage regularly on the production floor to understand day‑to‑day operations, gather feedback, and ensure project plans align with real‑world constraints. Use project planning or tracking software and Microsoft Excel to manage schedules, resources, metrics, and reporting. Promote a culture of continuous improvement by applying concepts such as Lean principles, workplace organization, and process optimization. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Manufacturing Operations, Engineering Technology, Supply Chain, or a related discipline. Experience working within a manufacturing or electronics production environment. Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data related to costs, labor, and production performance. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for managing timelines, documentation, and project deliverables. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking project metrics, financials, and schedules. Experience using project planning or tracking software to manage tasks, timelines, and dependencies. Understanding of continuous improvement concepts, including Lean principles, workplace organization, and process optimization. Ability and willingness to be visible on the production floor and engage directly with operations teams. Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and present clear status updates to stakeholders. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience or coursework in electronics manufacturing, operations management, or industrial processes. Experience with operations management and process improvement in a high‑volume manufacturing setting. Familiarity with manufacturing processes and production workflows in an electronics environment. Ability to build strong working relationships with purchasing, fabrication, production, and installation teams. Comfort working in a fast‑paced environment where priorities can shift based on production demands. Interest in contributing to broader operational improvement initiatives beyond assigned projects. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Westfield, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
