This role is the central point of coordination between field operations, estimating, subcontractors, owners, and general contractors. The ideal candidate has a strong background in commercial electrical construction, with direct experience managing complex projects in healthcare environments. Responsibilities Manage all phases of large commercial electrical projects from pre-construction through final closeout, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery. Serve as the primary point of contact for general contractors, owners, architects, and engineers throughout the project lifecycle. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts; monitor variances and implement corrective action as needed. Coordinate with the estimating team during the bid process, including scope reviews, value engineering, and subcontractor qualification. Oversee procurement of materials and equipment; manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation. Work closely with field superintendents to ensure labor productivity, manpower planning, and adherence to project schedules. Ensure strict compliance with healthcare facility requirements including infection control (ICRA/PCRA), safety protocols, Joint Commission standards, and applicable codes (NEC, NFPA 99, etc.). Lead and facilitate regular project meetings, owner-architect-contractor (OAC) meetings, and internal job reviews. Review and approve subcontractor and vendor invoices; manage project billing, lien waivers, and contract compliance. Identify and proactively mitigate project risks; resolve field issues and conflicts in a timely manner. Mentor and support Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers. Maintain a strong safety culture in alignment with company and OSHA standards. Required Qualifications 5 + years of project management experience in commercial electrical construction. Demonstrated experience managing large-scale projects ($5M+) in the healthcare sector (hospitals, medical office buildings, or similar). Strong knowledge of electrical systems, NEC code, and healthcare electrical requirements (NFPA 99, NFPA 101). Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and subcontractors. Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, or similar). Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field — or equivalent work experience. PMP (Project Management Professional) certification. OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification. Experience with healthcare-specific construction compliance including
ICRA/PCRA
procedures. Journeyman or Master Electrician license (preferred but not required).
